Some Financial Advisors Just Want to Manage Your Money. We’d Rather Change How You Think About It.
There’s a question at the center of every financial decision you make: how much is enough? Enough to retire. Enough to feel secure. Enough to stop trading your time for money. We’re a fee-only, fiduciary financial planning firm built around helping you answer that question. Both quantitatively and emotionally.
Or keep reading.
We’re not going anywhere.

We’re serious about providing value.
One of the harshest truths about the financial advice industry is that it’s really hard for you to determine if you’re receiving good value from your advisor. Our goal is to provide you with fee-only financial advice and coordination across your financial life that makes you feel heard and like you’re in good hands.
We don’t pretend to be for everyone.
We work with two types of clients. Both are smart, both are capable, and both have reached the point where “figuring it out myself” stopped being the best use of their time.

I named this firm after an old Scots word I uncovered on a trip that changed how I think about money.
Hamewith means “homeward”; the idea of heading towards the truest sense of self. I started this firm not only because I have particular convictions about what the financial planning and wealth management experience should look like, but because it was my own version of pursuing joy and coming home crafted from having been studying and practicing financial planning in Rochester, NY since 2011.
I’m a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, an Accredited Estate Planner® professional, and I hold a master’s degree in personal financial planning. I’ve spent my career in the weeds of tax strategy, retirement income, and investment management. Not because I love spreadsheets (though I do), but because the details and the people to whom they pertain are the important parts.
